9/11/2001
Only minutes before he would perish
Leaving behind the wife and children
he loved and cherished
One brave man recited the Lord’s Prayer
then said- “let’s roll”
At that very moment God held
his Haloed soul.
To all the precious people lost
Over eighty nations in all
The world will never forget you
The world will never forget
what we saw.
To all the devastated relatives
Of loved ones who would die
We know they’re now in heaven
Yet we understand why you still
weep and cry.
To all of those who knew someone
Now trying to understand and find peace
With only memories left you
We pray that some day your suffering
will cease.
To all of New York’s Finest
The firefighters and the police
Your loyalty to your fallen brother
Never wavered once despite your
pain and grief.
To all the volunteers and rescue workers
Each of you a hero
America will never forget you
America will never forget ground zero.
To each and every nation
To all religions worldwide
Never stop believing
The truth is on your side.
To all our brave men and women
Defending freedom so proudly overseas
A nation is grateful to you
God bless and God speed.
Yes only minutes before he would perish
Leaving behind the wife and children
he so loved and cherished
One brave man recited the Lord’s Prayer
then said- “let’s roll”
And at that very moment God held
his Haloed soul.
“LET’S ROLL”
